Basketball - Auburn Freshman Guard Tyrell Jones Out 2-3 Months After Undergoing Surgery

Auburn freshman guard Tyrell Jones recently underwent surgery on his left leg and is expected to be out for two to three months, coach Bruce Pearl announced Thursday.

Jones, who played his senior season at West Oaks Academy in Orlando, Fla., with considerable pain in his shin, underwent surgery to repair a left tibial stress fracture after it was discovered that a “pretty serious injury was detected.” The surgery was performed by Dr. Benton Emblom at the Andrews Sports Medicine Center in Birmingham.
