Marcus A. Rothermich, MD joined our orthopaedic surgery team of physicians in October 2019. Dr. Rothermich treats patients at our Cullman, Trussville and Winfield locations as well as St. Vincent's Birmingham.
Rachel G. Henderson, MD, specializes in non-surgical orthopedic and sports medicine at Andrews Sports Medicine. She treats injuries to bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints in people of all ages. Dr. Henderson is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as Sports Medicine. In addition, she serves as team physician for Calera High School and Shelby County High School's sports programs. Dr. Henderson treats patients at our St. Vincent’s Birmingham, St. Vincent’s One Nineteen and Pelham locations.
Michael K. Ryan, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in sports medicine surgery, hip preservation surgery (including hip arthroscopy for treatment of hip impingement and labral tears, treatment of hip dysplasia, and other joint preserving surgeries for adolescents and adults), as well as knee and hip replacements.
Christopher Carter, MD treats patients at our St. Vincent's Trussville, St. Vincent's Birmingham and St. Vincent's One Nineteen locations. He serves as team physician for the athletic programs at Clay-Chalkville High School and Miles College.
Jay S. Umarvadia, MD treats patients at our Gardendale and Birmingham locations. He serves as team physician for Gardendale High School's athletics program.
E. Lyle Cain, Jr., MD specializes in arthroscopy and treatment of sports-related injuries, as well as open and arthroscopic treatment of knee, shoulder and elbow injuries. In addition, he is certified to treat cartilage injuries in the knee with articular cartilage implantation and meniscal transplantation.
Jeffrey R. Dugas, MD, treats all types of orthopaedic sports injuries, including injuries of the shoulder, elbow and knee. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and the sub-specialty of sports medicine.
Benton A. Emblom, MD, specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. He has subspecialty expertise in hip preservation surgery and hip reconstruction.
Dr. Jeffrey Davis was born in Decatur, AL and his family moved to Atlanta when he was 7 years-old. He attended Georgia Tech, playing football for 3 years before a knee injury ended his collegiate athletic career. Following undergraduate graduation, he received an Air Force scholarship for medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. His orthopedic surgical training was performed at the well-known and respected Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. Following the completion of his orthopedic residency, Dr. Davis served in the Air Force as an orthopedic surgeon. During his military service, he achieved the rank of Major and received an achievement medal.
Dr. Goldstein is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has presented papers and instructional course lectures for the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has served on the Technology Committee of the Arthroscopy Association since 2005. He specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, and general orthopedic surgery.
