I am 75 years old and I live in Fayette, Alabama. I worked for 20 years in a medical supply factory, and later opened my own business - welding and repairing boat propellers. Growing up, I enjoyed playing football, baseball, basketball and track.
Recently, I was on a fishing trip to Louisiana that was planned to last 3 days. After 2 days, I was in so much pain in my shoulder that I had to cancel my last day of fishing. I made an appointment with Andrews Sports Medicine to have an evaluation about helping with the pain. I received a shot in each shoulder, and was pain free for a few months.
When the pain returned, I went back to Andrews Sports Medicine for an MRI. It was discovered that I had a torn rotator cuff. Dr. Wayne McGough performed my surgery and was great! I was told by friends that this was an extremely painful surgery and the rehab would be unbearable. I have had NO pain. My rehab has been great, and I am working toward a full recovery.
Andrews Sports Medicine is the best place for orthopaedic repair in the United States. Everyone that I have in contact have been fantastic, from the front desk to the MRI staff, to the doctors and nurses.
My wife had her heel reconstructed at the practice in 2014, and it has been a positive experience for her as well. Since then, I have recommended Andrews Sports Medicine to several friends and acquaintances needing orthopaedic services.
