Student Observation Program

Gain Real-World Experience in Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics

At Andrews Sports Medicine, we’re committed to educating and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our Student Observation Program (SOP) offers college students — and select high school students enrolled in health-related courses — a unique opportunity to observe the inner workings of a nationally recognized orthopaedic and sports medicine practice.

Through this immersive experience, participants gain valuable insight into the fast-paced, collaborative environment of a high-volume clinical setting. Students have the opportunity to shadow our physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and administrative teams to better understand the daily responsibilities, patient interactions, and teamwork required to deliver exceptional care to athletes and active individuals.

What You’ll Experience

The Student Observation Program allows participants to:

  • Observe patient care and clinical operations in action
  • Learn about the coordination between medical, surgical, and rehabilitation teams
  • Gain exposure to various departments within a large orthopaedic practice
  • Understand the importance of professionalism, communication, and patient-centered care in sports medicine

This hands-on exposure helps students clarify their career interests and build a deeper appreciation for the field of sports medicine and orthopaedics.
