Several months ago, I was rushing into my 4-year-old grandson's daycare when I tripped on the curb and landed on my knee, elbow and side of my face. Early that evening both my knee and elbow were swollen and painful.

At 8 AM the next morning, I called the appointment line at Andrews Sports Medicine and was given a 10 AM appointment with Dr. Rachel Henderson at the Crossroads at Greystone location. X-rays were taken, and Dr. Henderson informed me that I had fractured my left kneecap and elbow.

She was extremely thorough with her examination and patiently answered all of my questions being very clear as to what I could expect during my next 3 months of recovery. I was followed every 2 weeks with x-rays and examinations where I was seen timely, and the support staff was most accommodating and professional.

Dr. Henderson is an excellent physician, a good listener and empathetic and could relate to me as a very active person. Everyone from the front desk to the x-ray staff to Dr. Henderson were great! They were very professional, kind, and gave me the best care.

I love being active and taking care of my grandchildren. I am so thankful to Dr. Henderson for helping me get back to my active lifestyle. It was so reassuring to hear that she could relate to me and wanted to help me get back to normal.

As a retired healthcare administrator with the University of South Alabama, I offered to submit my comeback story because I wanted to share with others the top-notch care that I received from Dr. Henderson and Andrews Sports Medicine.
