Knee Replacement (Total)
On February 21, 2018, Dr. Jeffrey Davis and his team performed my total knee replacement using the Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted System. The surgery was a total success!
The whole process I had with Dr. Davis, his staff and everyone at Andrews Sports Medicine was WONDERFUL! Every step of the way, from pre-surgery testing, St. Vincent's Joint Camp (where I learned everything about the surgery, what my hospital stay would be like, and what to expect and do when I got home ), to hospital care could not have been better. They even helped schedule home health care and called me at home to check on my progress!
The pain I experienced was minimal, not near as much as I expected, and after 7 weeks of recovery and physical therapy I was totally released and went back to my job of painting houses!
I would like to thank Dr. Davis, his P.A. Katie Beckham, and the entire staff at Andrews Sports Medicine for such a successful surgery and experience.
