James R. Andrews, MD, performed knee surgery on Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

David Altchek, MD, performed Tommy John surgery on Red Sox pitcher Carson Smith.

Walter R. Lowe, MD, performed knee surgery on Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton.

Jonathan L. Glashow, MD, performed shoulder surgery on New Jersey Devils' Jon Merrill at Midtown Surgical Center in New York City.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center welcomed K. David Moore, MD, to its team.

The White House granted Cato T. Laurencin, MD, PhD, the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.
